Comments: 900 Global gives us a new weight block in the Profit. The cover is a tweaked pearl version of their highly successful S70 veneer. The combination of the two gives the Profit a stronger overall reaction than we have seen in previous pearls from 900 Global. The Profit revs easily in the midlane and once it turns the corner there is no stopping it. All three testers liked the Profit the best on our medium test pattern. It gave us a look on this pattern similar to the Break Point Pearl, but with more continuation at the back end. The oily pattern offered a moderate look for our testers with the Cranker having the best reaction due to his higher rev rate. Surface adjustments will be needed for those who have trouble getting their ball to face the pocket. Those bowling on drier conditions will want to look into longer pin-to-PAP layouts, which should allow the Profit to get further down the lane before it makes it move to the pocket. Higher rev rates will most likely have to keep this ball in the bag when it comes to fresh dry patterns but will have some success on broken down dry conditions. Those with lower rev rates will be okay as long as they are able to move deeper on the lane. On our fresh sport patterns the Profit offered easy length due to the polished pearl cover and it gave the recovery needed in the back end of the lane. Stroker was able to square up what is usually OB but was able to use it as hold as the Profit created traction in the oil. As the testers broke down the pattern, the reaction from the Profit got even better. Out of the box, we recommend the Profit got broken-down to medium-oily sport patterns or fresh medium to medium-dry sport patterns.SummaryStrengths: This formulation of the S70 cover is the Profit's biggest asset.
